They do produce good bass, but it seems to occur a fairly narrow range of frequencies. You know how a guitar causes the sound of the strings to resonate giving it a full and rich sound? My speakers seem to resonate at only the low to mid ranges, and the higher frequency sounds seem muffled out. I even tried messing with the bass and treble levels, but it didn't seem to help- if one band is playing and the guy has a deep voice, it will sound loud, but if there's another voice that's not as deep, it sounds really muffled. In the end what I'm left with are speakers that sound great at a certain frequency and hushed out at others, whereas my old Bose speakers in those enclosures had a full, rich sound that sounded great over the entire spectrum.
